We learn about ourselves through exploration, guidance, and movement. This can happen internally or externally, but the goal is to keep the internal experience in harmony with the external experience, hence chasing balance. The mind is trapped without the body and the body is immobile without the mind. The soul steps in and guides the two in chasing peace, serenity, and life.
Our belief at Black Barn Farm WELL is that by investing in your health and wellness you invest in yourself and make yourself more available to life. This is achievable by spending time to take care of your mental health, take care of your body, and by diving into new experiences.
You have to step out of the box! As much as a safe space and a confidential space is needed to learn about yourself, you need to be in nature, you need to move, and you need to dig into conversations. Our first session may start in a room, but the work happens on walks, while herding goats and sheep, while trimming hooves, while sweeping stall. The woods are our therapy room; the barn is our therapy room; the camper is our therapy room; and sometimes the garden is our therapy room.
